In #RioDeJaneiro the Brazilian locals pile onto the beautiful beaches and express themselves through artwork, dance, and the ubiquitous Rio de Janeiro partying.

Any Rio de Janeiro #tour must make a stop at Christ the Redeemer, the ubiquitous statue that watches over the city from above the Tijuca National Forest. Take the cable car to the lookout point on Sugarloaf Mountain, the city’s iconic peak, and try not to look down – it’s a long way to the ground!

After a morning spent in nature, your #vacation should continue back in the city. Join the sun worshippers at Copacabana, where you can stake out a patch of beach or float out to sea with the paddleboarders. Shop for souvenirs in Ipanema, or take part in the street dances, festivals, and parades that may spontaneously break out.

For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

<video:title>Surfing in Rio de Janeiro - Barra da Tijuca paradise beach - Brazil</video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[🏄‍♀️ 🔥 🇧🇷 ☀️ 🏖️ Barra da Tijuca is a neighborhood or "bairro" in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, located in the western portion of the city on the Atlantic Ocean. Barra is well known for its beaches, its many lakes and rivers, and its lifestyle.

Barra da Tijuca is classified as one of the most developed places in Brazil, with one of the highest Human Development Indexes (HDI) in the country, as measured in the 2000 Brazil Census. Unlike Copacabana and Ipanema, Barra da Tijuca, built only 30 years ago, follows the Modernist standards, with large boulevards creating the major transit axis.

Barra has received more than 100,000 new residents and many companies' headquarters looking for a more modern address.

Those born in Barra da Tijuca, or those who live there, are called Barristas, or Barrenses. The neighborhood is a cultural, economic, and administrative hub of the city, and is believed to be the safest of Rio's upper-class neighbourhoods because of its lack of favelas and plentiful private and public security.

It is the home of several celebrities and football players. In August 2016, Barra hosted most of the venues of the 2016 Summer Olympics, the first held in South America.
